Hide Compressed Texts in an Audio File

Steganography art is a technique of hiding data within data, as hiding text message within an image or an audio file or a video file, it is a new method used as a substitute for the known encryption technology.
This kind of hidden messages is distinguished that they reach their destination completely confidential, unlike encrypted messages that although it can never decoded without access to the encryption key; it can be identified as an encrypted message.
In this work, a new algorithm is proposed for compression and encodes the data using Huffman coding technique, then hides them in an audio file using a secret key for the distribution of encoded data within and LSB well known approach. The output is saved in a new audio file. In the recovery phase, the values ​​are retrieved and decoded by the same method.
Results show highly accurate results as a measure auditory perception of the original file and the embedded data file as well as performance metrics knowledge (signal-to-noise ratio and the correlation coefficient and the mean square error and the peak signal to noise ratio).
 

Using Genetic Algorithm to Reduce the Noise Effect on Images

This paper deals with a problem that concentrates on the noise removal that the images are affected from different resources employing Genetic Algorithm with filters. To achieve the aims of the paper, six types of genetic filters are suggested for noise removal from the images. These suggested genetic filters depending on filters (mean, median, min and max) as an objective function for them.
These suggested genetic filters are applied on several real images contaminated by two types of noise with different levels for comparison and to show the effectiveness of them. The result show that The fifth genetic filter that depends on the median filter as an objective function and heuristic crossover and  adding and subtracting mutation, gives the best results with RMSE=15.7243 and PSNR=24.1646 for Lena.bmp image and with RMSE=8.6197 and PSNR=29.4210 for girl.png image when add 0.05 salt & paper noise.
 

Development Of Traditional Algorithms and Make a Hybrid Algorithm to Denoising The Color Images

The development in life has made the need very important for using images in many scientific fields like space, engineering and medicine. Due to the fact that such images are affected by various types of noises which produced from different sources which required some kind of filtering in order to produce a better images. The new algorithm applied in this research is obtained from merging two available methods using Matlab (2008). The first method adopts the mean filter while the second one uses the conservative smoothing filter .the application done on (jpg, gif) images for (salt & pepper) noises in different values and also (salt & pepper, Gaussian) noises which applied at the same time on the image. The result of each method is compared with the new result outcome from the application of the new hybrid algorithm.  
 

Remove Noise from Grayscale Digital Images by Traditional and Fuzzy Filters

Image denoising and enhancement is an important field and it is used very much in image processing, where images are corrupted by many kinds of noise, therefore, methods and techniques must be used to remove these noises. In this research seven traditional filters are used to remove noise from digital images corrupted with salt&pepper noise and Gaussian noise. And also adopting principle of fuzzy logic to hybrid between traditional filters and fuzzy logic using double bell shaped membership function and also hybrid with double adjusted sigmoid  membership function to create seven fuzzy sigmoidal filters. After applying seven traditional methods, seven fuzzy bell methods and seven fuzzy sigmoidal methods , by using measures of restored image PSNR, MSE, MAE , shows the final methods i.e. seven fuzzy sigmoidal methods are better than other filters i.e. methods that are used in this research after comparing the results.

Image Compression Technique Using a Hierarchical Neural Network

This paper present a Resilient Backpropagation (RBP) algorithm based on hierarchical neural network for image compression. The proposed technique includes steps to break down large images into smaller blocks for image compression/ decompression process. Furthermore, a Linear Backpropagation (LBP) algorithm is also used to train hierarchical neural network, and both training algorithms are compared. A number of experiments have been achieved, the results obtained, are the compression rate and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio of the compressed/ decompressed images which are presented in this paper.
